Book the Family Mountain Activities Package

Bring the entire family and enjoy all the summer activities Deer Valley has to offer. Stay two or more nights in a two bedroom or larger condominium and receive 15% off your entire stay plus a Deer Valley Resort credit towards lift-served mountain biking, hiking and scenic rides as well as bike lessons, bike rentals, biking and hiking tours, retail and dining.

A minimum night stay is required and varies by property. The Deer Valley Resort credit is only valid June 17 – September 5, 2022.

Paddleboarding

The ponds at Deer Valley are ideal to paddleboard with the whole family, and are among the first to “melt out” in spring. The shore is always in sight, plus water temperatures are balmy compared to other nearby bodies of water. The friendly confines of these interconnected waterways are absent motorized (read: fast-moving) craft, offering a relaxed place to learn to paddle. Seasoned SUPers will find fun tracing the shoreline in both directions for a solid day on the water. Lessons and rentals are available.

Hiking

Miles of trails await the tread of your boots if the family is up for a bit of a walk. A number of trails begin at Silver Lake Village, while higher elevation options beckon atop Bald Mountain, accessed via Sterling Express chairlift. Grab a trail map and look for routes such as Ontario Canyon, Red Cloud, and Silver Lake. Each clock in at around two miles, but they have a fair amount of elevation gain that can test little legs. Mountain Biking

Mix the weather of hiking with the gravitational thrill of skiing and you have…mountain biking! Like the latter, there are beginner options to learn this new way of exploring the resort. Holy Roller, a green circle – just like skiing – is a fantastic entry to the sport. Full suspension bikes smooth out the small bumps and rollers on this wide path that begins atop Sterling Express and finishes back at Silver Lake Village.

Wednesday Night Concerts

With Deer Valley being home to Utah Symphony’s Deer Valley Music Festival, the stage is literally set throughout the summer. The Grand Valley Bank Community Concert Series hosts five free Wednesday night concerts at the Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater featuring local musicians. Bring a blanket or chairs, pre-order a gourmet picnic bag or grab a meal from the Grab & Go, and dance the evening away as a family! With plenty of space to spread out and a relaxed vibe, this series is a fantastic introduction to Park City’s music scene.

Deer Valley Grocery~Café

Adjacent to the Deer Valley ponds, and located in the Deer Valley Plaza building, Deer Valley Grocery~Café is one of the better-kept local secret spots to grab a bite to eat. Enjoy favorites such as the Turkey Chili and freshly-baked cookies, along with a full breakfast and lunch menu that includes soups, salads, sandwiches, and more. Live music on the patio during warmer months is a great cap to a day on the water or trails.
