SCOTT Twilight Ride Series Launches July 26, 2016

Deer Valley Resort is teaming up with SCOTT Sports for a new Twilight Ride Series held from 4 to 7 p.m. over four Tuesdays; July 26, August 2, 16 and 23, 2016. The series will offer extended lift hours on the Silver Lake Express and Sterling Express chairlifts. Day-of ticket sales start at 4 p.m. for $17. Gold tickets purchased the morning of an event are good until 7 p.m.

“SCOTT Sports has a long-standing history of being an industry leader in producing state-of-the-art bicycles and biking equipment,” said Steve Graff, Ski/Bike Patrol Manager of Deer Valley Resort. “We are excited to partner with them for this Twilight Ride Series and bring their products to our extensive summer trail system.”

SCOTT Sports sponsored athletes will be in attendance to participate in rides during the series and exclusive contests for product giveaways will take place on both Deer Valley’s and SCOTT’s social channels.

All summer Deer Valley services at both Snow Park and Silver Lake will remain during the SCOTT Twilight Ride Series. The Rental Shop will offer bike rentals for $21 for junior bikes and $39 for adult bikes. Private biking lessonswill be available, if reserved in advance. Etc. at Snow Park and Signatures at Silver Lake will be open until 7 p.m., as will the Snack Shack which will serve its full menu.

    A few days ago, I took the chairlift from Silver Lake up to Bald Mountain hoping to go down to the terrain park (bike park) where they have all of the obstacles but a member of the mountain bike patrol told me it was gone and that it had been completely ripped out.

    I was surprised and really disappointed because it was probably one of the most popular attractions at the mountain.

    Why was it removed?

    Thanks for asking! The features on Homeward Bound were in an area with the best biking terrain on the mountain. We have chosen to use the terrain for our new flow trails. We built a blue level flow trail in the area last year and are working on a green level trail this year.
