Leadership Park City Welcomes Rusty Gregory, Alterra Mountain Company CEO To Keynote The 26th Annual Community Leadership Lecture

Leadership Park City will host its annual free community lecture on Monday, March 16 at the Santy Auditorium at 7 p.m. The 26th annual event will feature a keynote presentation by Rusty Gregory, Alterra Mountain Company’s CEO.


Who:
Rusty Gregory was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Alterra Mountain Company in January 2018 after helping create its vision and direction. Rusty is an experienced leisure industry executive and proven mountain resort innovator. His ski industry career spans 40 years starting as a lift operator at Mammoth Mountain where he rose to become an owner and Chairman and CEO for over 20 years. Throughout his career, Rusty gained experiences from all sides, including time spent as a lift mechanic, ski instructor, and human resources director. Rusty is past Chairman of the National Ski Areas Association, Trustee of the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team Foundation, and Trustee and past Vice Chairman of the Yosemite Conservancy. He is the founder and Chairman of the University of California Santa Barbara’s Valentine Reserve Environmental Research Fund.

What: The community leadership lecture is one of two public events hosted by Leadership Park City each year. This lecture is free to attend.

Where: Santy Auditorium on the 3rd Floor of the Park City Library (1255 Park Ave, Park City, UT)

When: Monday, March 16, 2020 from 7 to 9 p.m.

Why: Leadership Park City identifies, encourages and trains new community leaders, and provides class members a long-term, group-oriented learning opportunity. It is patterned after other successful community leadership programs around the country and the Kellogg National Leadership Program sponsored by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. All those with a desire to learn more about the challenges facing the Park City community and are interested in becoming involved are encouraged to apply.
