Intermountain Healthcare Freestyle International Ski World Cup Returns to Deer Valley Resort

Deer Valley Resort welcomes the world’s leading mogul and aerial skiers to compete on their internationally-renowned slopes February 4 through 6, 2021 in the 2021 Intermountain Healthcare Freestyle International Ski World Cup. This elite-level freestyle competition will be this year’s first domestic World Cup competition on U.S. snow and will feature the first domestic Olympic Winter Games qualifier for U.S. Ski & Snowboard Aerial athletes on February 6.

“To mitigate the risks of COVID-19, this year’s events will be held during the day and venue access will be limited to essential personnel only,” said Deer Valley’s Director of Marketing Coleen Reardon. “Although the competition will look and feel differently than years past, and spectators will not be allowed, we look forward to hosting the world’s most talented freestyle athletes to our slopes as safely as possible.”

The 2021 Intermountain Healthcare Freestyle International this February marks 23 years that Deer Valley Resort has played host to international and world competitions. In addition to the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, Deer Valley has been the home for freestyle ski events including the 2003, 2011 and 2019 World Championships and 18 World Cups. Continued world-class excellence through hosting major events and exceeding guests’ expectations on every front will forever be the hallmark of Deer Valley Resort’s legacy.
