Dining at Deer Valley 2020-2021, Different but Still Delicious

Dining is an integral part of any Deer Valley experience. From casual, family-friendly cafés and grills, to elegantly rustic restaurants, every Deer Valley dining experience features quality ingredients and creative, fresh preparations with an emphasis on locally sourced products. The same regal guest service and delicious food offereings, which we have all grown accustomed to receiving from the staff at Deer Valley, will not change during the 2020-2021 ski season.

What will be different this year? The most important thing to remember is that reservations recommended at all restaurants, except for Deer Valley Grocery~Café. Also, all restaurants, including those at Snow Park, Silver Lake and Empire Canyon Lodges, offer table service during lunch. There is no more buffet or cafeteria-style dining this winter at Deer Valley®.

Deer Valley staff will be monitoring the flow of guests in and out of the restaurants, and making sure physical distancing is occurring. The daytime restaurants will be the biggest shift for guests. And it’s actually going to be a better experience for guests in that it will be seated service. Deer Valley’s day restaurants will also be able to serve beer, wine and cocktails for lunch, which wasn’t allowed under the previous liquor license when service was cafeteria-style.

Snow Park and Silver Lake Lodges offer grab and go meals as well. The menus are always evolving, but they still serve specialty sandwiches, popular items from past years, and of course, Deer Valley’s famous turkey chili. The outdoor decks at Silver Lake and Snow Park Lodges are tented, and at Empire Canyon Lodge, there are fire pits and propane heaters on decks.

The award-winning Goldener Hirsch Restaurant is open this winter and featuring their amazing cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner, for those with reservations. Deer Valley Grocery~Café remains open daily as well, offering take-away items, outdoor seating on the deck, and limited indoor seating to comply with local and national guidelines.

Another great tool for guests is the NEW Deer Valley app available in the App Store for IOS and the Google Play Store for android; download it in advance to assist with all your reservation and grab and go ordering needs.

Remember, while on Deer Valley property, masks or face coverings are required at all times unless skiing or actively eating or drinking while seated at a table.

Although the restaurants at Deer Valley, which are a staple of the traditional ski area experience, will require reservations, you will still be able to dine on delicious food and drink while receiving incredible service. Sounds pretty easy to scale this coronavirus obstacle!
