Often called one of the best-kept secrets at Deer Valley Resort, the Jordanelle area is a hidden gem on the northeastern edge of the resort. Overlooking the Jordanelle Reservoir, a popular summer destination for Park City watersports, this side of the mountain is quiet with beautiful views that span out to the Uinta Mountains and toward Wyoming.

If you’re staying in Heber City or Midway, begin your day at the Jordanelle Ticket Office, which is literally right off Highway 40. Skiers can hop on the Jordanelle Express Gondola and easily access Little Baldy Peak and its ski runs, as well as the rest of the resort’s runs.

For those staying in Park City, arcing down the Jordanelle groomer as it bends and falls with each subsequent pitch is almost as fun as the plush gondola ride back up. The journey can also coincide with a stop at the St. Regis Deer Valley, where you can sit in their outdoor Adirondack chairs and grab a signature drink. Each St. Regis location has its own unique cocktail, and at Deer Valley it’s the 7452 Mary, a Bloody Mary featuring vodka distilled at an elevation of more than 7,000 feet coupled with celery foam, which adds a cloud-like garnish to the cocktail.
